Easter Seals West Central Alabama Rehabilitation Center

On April 9, 2011, we hosted our annual Walk With Me fundraiser at Memorial Stadium. It was a beautiful day and lots of fun for all. We had about 150 walkers participating. Mary Nell Mayo received the award for “Highest Individual Fundraiser” raising over $4,500 for team “Golden Girls”. The event raised over $16,000 to assist people with disabilities in the Black Belt area. Many thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors. We would especially like to thank CHAT Academy Jr. BETA Club for volunteering with our children’s activities.

Hosted by Jody Rankin and family at Cedarcrest Farms in Faunsdale, Alabama, the Fall 2010 Dove Shoot once again was a great day for everyone (except the dove).  Many thanks to all the hunters who came out.  While the dove weren’t quite as plentiful as last year, the weather was great, the hunters were great, and the food was great.

Many thanks also to David Pierce for providing plenty of catfish and hushpuppies! Pepsi Cola for drinks, Ice  Cream provided by Blue Bell Creameries in Birmingham, Jones Tire for $300 auction certificate for a set of tires.

And thanks also to James Hurdles for donating a shotgun for the drawing.
