Easter Seals West Central Alabama Rehabilitation Center

June 21, 2008 we hosted our first ever Artisan’s Day event.  We had artwork and craftwork from local artisans for sale, as well as a silent auction.  It was a very successful day, with interactive activities for the kids, it was  a great opportunity to meet some of our talented local artisans and craftsmen.  So far, we have had 100% positive feedback from the artists and craftspeople, as well as from all the wonderful folks who came out to support us that day.  Look for this event to return in June 2009!!!

Under Construction

Hosted by Jody Rankin and family at Cedarcrest Farms in Faunsdale, Alabama, the Fall 2008 Dove Shoot once again was a great day for everyone (except the dove).  Many thanks to all the hunters who came out.  While the dove weren’t quite as plentiful as last year, the weather was great, the hunters were great, and the food was great.

Many thanks also to David Pierce for providing plenty of catfish and hushpuppies!

And thanks also to the Central Alabama Farmers Co-Op in Selma for helping us get a shotgun for the drawing, and an even bigger thanks to the ladies of Elkdale Baptist’s Grace Sunday School Class for PAYING for the shotgun!!
